VyP Coffee
For the new skai® VyP Coffee with laif® technology, spent coffee grounds are reused for the first time as a raw material to produce breathable upholstery fabrics. The authentic look and soft feel, together with the consistent use of sustainable ingredients and the resource-saving, energy-efficient manufacturing process in Germany, contribute to a complete picture of a sustainable product.
Reuse of spent coffee grounds to manufacture a new, sustainable product. Waste is turned into skai® VyP Coffee, an innovative upholstery material. Powder from approx. 3 cups of coffee is processed into 1 square meter of skai® VyP Coffee. Reusing spent coffee grounds helps to avoid waste. The greenhouse gases methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) are not created. Conventional, chemical raw materials are replaced by natural ones

Application / Processing
Suitable for many kinds of upholsteries and coverings in the upholstery industry. Especially suitable for the use in the modern residential and contract area, in public buildings and institutions. Problem-free processing in the usual procedures (sewing, tacking, sticking, nailing). Do not use solvent-based adhesives!
Fabric care
For durable joy with your material, please clean regularly. Pollution by oil, fat and ink must be removed immediately. Clean with warm, mild soap sud and a micro-fibre cloth or a soft hand brush. Please, do not use solvents, chloride, abrasives, chemical cleaning agents or wax polishes. Please note that colourings by jeans or other textiles are excluded from any manufacturer’s guarantee.
